We are SO EXCITED to announce our Senior Conjunto Dance Series! This brand new program is a once a month series happening in Spring 2024 at Kyle Area Senior Zone. The series is for seniors 50 years and over and features live Conjunto music. Admission is free. 

The series kicks off Friday 1/26/24 with Conjunto Los Pinkys with special guest Susan Torres from 5 to 7pm. 

Future dates: 

Friday 2/23/24 5 to 7pm - Grupo CruzSante

Friday 3/29/24 5 to 7pm - performers TBA

It's official! The Rancho Alegre Conjunto Music Festival returns April 5-7, 2024 at the historic Doris Miller Auditorium in East Austin! Free admission, all ages welcome, indoors, all 3 days, and of course...lots and lots of accordions. 

Lineup to be announced soon, but it will be nothin' but Conjunto.

The Rancho Alegre lineups have always been diverse and have featured talent from all over the state who don’t usually get a shot to play in Austin or at bigger festivals. The lineup for 2023 is no exception.

As of 2:30pm, we have raised approximately $18,000 through a combination of a grant from Texas Commission on the arts, private offline donations, and just over $7400 from our AmplifyATX campaign! Dear friends, 

A lot of folks have asked what's happening with this year's Rancho Alegre Conjunto Music Festival and here's the update: we applied for funding through the City of Austin Cultural Arts department, as we always do, and our application was denied. We appealed their decision and that was denied too. We contacted our elected officials, and despite their efforts, there's nothing they could do to help us.

Baldo steps out of our traditional Conjunto zone for this review of a truly fantastic album by Austin-based artist Chris Gebhard. Enjoy!

Festival Returns April 29 to May 1 and kicks off with 2022 Texas State Musician Eva Ybarra

Austin, Texas - After two full years off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Austin-based nonprofit organization Ranch Alegre announced its return to live music events with the 2022 Rancho Alegre Conjunto Music Festival, scheduled for Friday April 29 through Sunday May 1. The event is free admission and all ages are welcome. 

We are so excited and honored to release this album on our label, Rancho Alegre Records, and we can’t wait for you to hear it. This is a special one for the folks who love old-style Conjunto from the 1940s and the beautiful simplicity of acordeón y bajo sexto duo. No drums. No bajo eléctrico. Just a squeezebox played by one of the masters who still uses both sets of buttons and perfectly complimented by skillful, soulful bajista JJ Barrera.

We are so excited to announce that Rancho Alegre will be presenting a short showcase of Tejano and Conjunto music during Folk Unlocked, this year's virtual conference presented by Folk Alliance International! Many thanks to the Texas Music Office for the invitation!
