Announcing our 2019 First Sunday Tardeada Series and Rancho Alegre Conjunto Music Festival!

We are so happy to announce our Spring and Summer event season, which includes our First Sunday Conjunto Tardeada Series at One-2-One Bar beginning March 3rd and the 6th Annual Rancho Alegre Conjunto Music Festival, which takes place May 3-5 at The BARn and Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater. All events celebrate and showcase traditional, accordion-driven Texas Conjunto music.

The tardeada series kicks off Sunday March 3rd from 6 to 8 p.m. at One-2-One Bar (1509 South Lamar) with Joe Zimmerle y Su Conjunto. After a couple of years with Los Thunderbirds, bandleader and drummer Joe Zimmerle is continuing the famous San Antonio Zimmerle family tradition with a rock-solid conjunto of his own, which he founded last year. The group has already recorded a couple of singles and is hard at work on their first album. The series continues the first Sunday in April, June, July and August with Conjuntos from all over Texas and cover charges are $7 person, all proceeds going to the performers. All ages are welcome with adult.

The annual Rancho Alegre Conjunto Music Festival will return for its sixth year on Cinco de Mayo weekend. Friday and Saturday, May 3rd and 4th, the event will take place at The BARn (6218 Brodie Lane) and will end the weekend Sunday May 5th at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater (801 Red River Street). Although the complete lineup will be announced March 30th, one of the highlights will be honoring Conjunto legend Gilberto Perez and his 60 years in music. Admission to this event is free and all ages are welcome. This project is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department.

Sponsorships and vendor opportunities are available.
