Adventure crew about to go 25 miles. Yeah Baby!

For older Scouts who are looking for something different at summer camp this year, Rancho Alegre is preparing a new “Adventure Program”. Scouts over 13 years old will be led by an Adventure Director on a week of challenging events. This exclusive program will include team building and individual personal development during several unique experiences.  A Class 3 physical is required due to the fitness demands of this program.

We offer rugged mountain biking through such trails as "The Beast", Paradise Road, and a 25-mile bike ride starting at camp, going over Broadcast Ridge, and dropping 16 miles down to the ocean at Refugio Beach.  Scouts who complete the adventure program leave camp with a sense of self-accomplishment and a few scrapes.  We also offer overnight mountain biking and hiking treks depending on interest.  We are flexible, and will tailor our program to the needs of the scouts.
